Online Store Policy

Our business days are Mondays to Fridays, excluding Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays.

1. Order Acceptance Policy
The receipt of an e-mail order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order or a confirmation of an offer to sell. POPULAR reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item and/or refuse service to any customer. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order.

2. Order Cancellation Policy

You cannot cancel an order (or part of an order) after your credit card payment has been authorized and approved. i.e. You cannot cancel the order after checkout upon reading and agreeing to all our Terms and Conditions.

3. Return Policy

All products, once sold are non-returnable. However, exceptions will be made for damaged/inferior quality products provided they are reported to Customer Service within 3 days upon receiving of goods. All returned products must be returned to us in their original condition/packaging and must be accompanied with the sales invoice with the date of purchase and serial number clearly printed on it for verification.

Local Return Policy
Return of products will be arranged at POPULAR outlets. Our Customer service Officer must be informed and arrangement must be made by them for the returns.

Overseas Return Policy
Our Customer Service Officer will advise the return/replacement methods and procedure on a case by case basis.

4. Exchange Policy
Once a product has been sold, it cannot be exchanged except for the following:
• Products received are different from what is stated on the invoice; i.e. wrong goods are delivered.
• Product is found to be damaged.

If the product(s) received is wrong or damaged, there will be a one-to-one exchange for the same product. To exchange a product, please contact us within 3 days upon receiving the goods. Our Customer Service Officer will arrange to deliver the missing/damaged item(s).

Local Exchange Policy
Exchange of product(s) will be arranged at POPULAR outlets. Our Customer service Officer must be informed and arrangement must be made by them for the returns.

Overseas Exchange Policy
Customer has to scan/picture the said product(s) and email to POPULAR for verification. POPULAR will send the replacement product(s) via mail upon approval. Normal delivery lead time applies.

All products to be exchanged have to be returned to us in their original packaging & must be accompanied with the sales invoice with the date of purchase and serial number clearly printed on it for verification.

5. Pricing Policy
POPULAR reserves the right to make adjustment to any published price of any product due to input error, product discontinuation, and stock clearance, under the instruction of manufacturers and distributors, and errors in advertising. Product prices at POPULAR Online website may be different with the prices at POPULAR Stores.

6. Stock / Product Supply
Books published on our website are supplied either directly from our warehouse or from our local/overseas suppliers depending on the stock availability.

7. Stock Availability
POPULAR Online cannot guarantee that every title offered for sale online would actually be shipped right away as inventory can change significantly from day to day. In a rare case, a title may be in stock when you place your order and sold out by the time your order is processed. However, for any title which you place an online order and is found to be sold out at the time of processing, we will inform you by Email / Phone and remove the title from your order.

8. Order Fulfillment Policy
POPULAR online is committed to fulfill all customer’s order in the shortest possible time but we do not promise any customer of delivery/collection within any time frame. We generally estimate that most orders will be delivered or can be collected within 18 days as a guide only. Customer cannot hold POPULAR Online responsible for any delays or non-fulfillment of an order due to out-of-stock or any other unforeseen circumstances.

9. Custom Duty Charges
POPULAR does not charge any customs duties on International shipments; however we cannot guarantee that customs charges will not be applicable to your package when it reaches your country. We are required by law to declare the contents of international packages containing books, music, or video and to state the full value of the shipment, even if the package contains a gift. We are not responsible for these charges and cannot provide estimates as to what these charges may be. You may wish to contact your local customs office or post office for further information.

10. Delivery and Receiving of Orders (Local – Singapore)
A SMS will be sent to customer registered mobile phone when his order is ready to shipped. Delivery date, time slot and order tracking no. will be provided in SMS. Customer is able to change the delivery date/time slot anytime as long as the order is still not delivered. Changes can be done by calling our shipper TAQBIN hotline 1800-2255888 or made Online at TAQBIN website.

When an order is delivered but there is no one to receive the goods, our courier would leave a white card informing customer to contact our shipper for free re-delivery arrangement. Our shipper will make up to 2 free re-delivery attempts. If all re-delivery are unsuccessful, the item shall be delivered back to POPULAR ONLINE. A re-delivery charge of $7 will be imposed to customer for a new delivery attempt. Alternatively, customer can choose to self-collect at any of our POPULAR Stores in which our Customer Services Officer will advise a ready-to-collect date for customer collection.

11. Delivery and Receiving of Orders (Overseas, non-Singapore)
When an order is delivered to an International Address (non-Singapore) and found to be undeliverable (e.g. no person is able to receive or when our courier is unable to locate the address), our courier would leave a white card informing customer to contact them for free re-delivery arrangement. Failing to hear from customer, our courier will attempt to contact the Recipient and if however the Recipient is non-contactable, a re-delivery attempt may be made again and then after, the parcel will be abandoned. Once the parcel is abandoned, POPULAR will consider that Order as delivered and will not entertain any resend or refund request for that Order. It is IMPORTANT to note that it is the responsibilities of the Customer to ensure the address is deliverable.

Upon delivering the order, the person who receives the goods will be required to sign on the shipper acknowledgement slip.

12. eVoucher Policy
• All eVoucher purchased, issued or redeemed on our website can only be used on POPULAR Online website only.
• All eVoucher purchased on our website cannot be refunded or cancelled.
• When purchasing eVoucher, correct email address of the intended recipient must be provided during eVoucher purchase process. POPULAR Online will not be held responsible if a wrong email address is provided and eVoucher end up with a wrong recipient.
• eVoucher cannot be used to purchase POPULAR Membership and eVoucher.
• When excess eVoucher value is used for an Online purchase, the excess eVoucher amount will not be refund/return to customer. E.g. If a $10 eVoucher is used to pay for purchase worth of $8 only, the remaining $2 will be forfeited and will not be refund to customer.

13. POPULAR Points
• All POPULAR Points awarded can be used/redeemed on POPULAR Online Website only.
• Every S$1.00 spent on our website will be rewarded with 1 POPULAR Point.
• The total amount spent will determine the total POPULAR Point rewarded.
• Total amount spent is determined by the actual amount invoiced and charged to customer credit card. Not the amount authorized by PayPal after checkout.
• Every 15 POPULAR Points can be used to redeem S$1 at POPULAR Online website checkout.
• POPULAR Points cannot be used for purchase of eVoucher and POPULAR Membership.
• Up to a maximum value of S$200.00 can be redeemed at checkout per transaction.
• All POPULAR Points issued will expire in 1 year after the same month it was issued. Example, Points issued on 8th Jan 2014 will expire after 31st Jan 2015.
• POPULAR Points are not transferable. POPULAR Points are tied to the account where it is awarded. If a customer has 2 POPULAR Online accounts, Points on each account cannot be transfer or combine for usage.
• Refund - For orders fully or partially paid with POPULAR Points, all refund whether fully or partially to an order will be made in POPULAR Points to the amount of POPULAR Points used. All excess amount will be refund with eVoucher or credit card.
• All POPULAR’s Employee enjoying staff discounts are not entitled to POPULAR Points reward program.
• All above terms and conditions for POPULAR Points are subject to change without informing our customer.
